NAMIC Conference

September 10-12, 2006
The Waldorf=Astoria, New York, NY

For 20 years, the Annual NAMIC Conference has led the communications industry in recognizing the impact of the multi-ethnic consumer and the connection between diversity and the bottom line.

This year, we invite you to participate and help shape our 20th Annual NAMIC Conference, September 10-12, 2006 in New York City.

Our overall theme is “Increasing Momentum, Mobility, and Marketshare” and will explore the bridge between multi-platform interactivity and increased personalization options. How are the current media trends aiding diverse consumers in getting the content they want? What are the synergies between platforms that allow programmers to have greater reach? Which companies are at the forefront of successfully adding to their bottom line via increasing their multi-ethnic viewership?

All this, and more, will be examined throughout sessions in the four following tracks:
Digital Media
Multi-ethnic Markets
Leadership Development
Corporate Diversity

We are looking for session proposals that are unique and innovative, with topics that are fresh in tone and presentation. Ideal speakers will be industry leaders that offer new perspectives on our business and the impact of diversity.

The sessions will be 75 minutes in duration and occur on Monday, September 11th and Tuesday, September 12th.

The session selections will be based upon the following criteria:
Providing tools for professional growth and skills that can be implemented in the workplace.
Ensuring that all sessions are consistent with the mission of NAMIC: To educate, advocate, and empower for multi-ethnic diversity in the communications industry.
Ensuring that sessions include diverse panelists that represent a cross-section of our industry as well as representation from subject matter experts outside the cable industry.
Relevancy for professionals at various experience levels.
Speakers and moderators must be experts in their field, preferably at the Vice President level, or higher, and preferably, have not presented at other cable industry events in 2006.

Please see the attached form for completion. Deadline for submission is March 24, 2006. If your session proposal is selected, you will be notified by April 7th, 2006.
