ENTERTAINERS BASKETBALL CLASSIC TO HOLD
SECOND ANNUAL CHARITY GAME at MADISON SQUARE GARDEN

New York, N.Y. (April 4, 2006) – It has been announced that on Sunday, July 23, 2006 the Entertainers Basketball Classic (EBC) will host its second annual tripleheader celebrity and all-star basketball extravaganza and mini-concert event at Madison Square Garden. This will be the second charity event that Gregory Marius, CEO of Entertainers Basketball Classic, has organized at the “World’s Most Famous Arena”.

The EBC, the famous basketball tournament that has operated out of Holcombe Rucker Memorial Park the last 25 years, in its 26th year of the most exciting basketball in New York City. Allen Iverson, Kevin Garnett, Stephon Marbury, Baron Davis, Kobe Bryant, Vince Carter, Kenyon Martin and over 30 more of the Pro’s best have played in the tournament. Music superstars P. Diddy, Jay Z, Fat Joe, Irv Gotti, Jermaine Dupree and Alicia Keys have been involved with this league either as players or team owners. The tournament has also attracted fans from all over the world as well as celebrity figures such as Commissioner of the NBA, David Stern, former President Bill Clinton, President of NBA Entertainment, Adam Silver, Academy Award winner Denzel Washington and actor Mike Rappaport.

This years’ charitable recipient will be DKMS Americas Donor Center. DKMS Americas works to provide the best donor match for leukemia and blood disease patients using their database. DKMS mission is to facilitate more transplants between DKMS and patients in the United States. DKMS America represents patients, donors, doctors, volunteers, families and friends with an international network that helps fight against leukemia and other blood diseases. DKMS Americas is supported by Jennifer Lopez and Hip-Hop Icon DMC of Run-DMC about the shortage of minority donors. The ultimate EBC souvenir, a celebrity autographed Harley-Davidson motorcycle will be auctioned off on e-Bay to raise funds for DKMS, and presented to the winning bidder at the All-Star game. This years’ game will include NY High School All-Stars, Celebrity and EBC All-Star Game. Players for all games at the “World’s Most Famous Arena” will be named at a later date.
