Acker Merrall & Condit provides its “Top 100 Wines of the Century” attendees the opportunity to sample a hand-picked selection of rare, vintage wines from a variety of international collections once a year here in New York City. The three-evening experience is complimented by dinner each night at a top New York restaurant in the esteemed company of forty of the world’s foremost wine connoisseurs.Before the tasting, the director of special events imparts words of wine wisdom, giving an informative and detailed lecture about the practice of wine tasting in general as well facts about the regional particulars of each vintage. Additionally, each guest is given a handout with detailed descriptions about each selection. This year’s event, the third one since 2004, takes place October 20th through the 22nd. The three New York City restaurants included in this year’s journey are Per Se, Daniel and Cru. Reservations will be taken on a first-come, first-served basis and are only confirmed upon the handsome payment.
